Surya Sonal Singh is a dynamic youth leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from Jharkhand, known for blending tradition with transparency, activism with governance, and devotion with development. His journey from grassroots public servant to environmental advocate and cultural guardian has made him one of the most impactful political figures in the state.
Born on August 2, 1985, at Nav Jeevan Hospital, Tumbagara in Palamu district, Surya hails from a legacy steeped in public service and justice. His father, Shri Kamlesh Kumar Singh, is a former Cabinet Minister in the Jharkhand Government and two-time MLA from the Hussainabad Assembly Constituency. His grandfather, Late Baijnath Singh, served as a District Sessions Judge, and his mother, Mrs. Madhu Singh, played a pivotal role in shaping his early values.

A Vision Beyond Politics
Saving Tigers, Saving Palamu
In 2020, Surya Singh launched the bold campaign “Save Betla, Save Palamu”, fighting to protect the endangered wildlife of Betla National Park. A century-old railway line was endangering the tiger population, slicing through the heart of this ecological haven.Through relentless advocacy, community mobilization, and political pressure, Surya succeeded in getting the railway track diverted — a landmark environmental victory. The result: a notable rise in tiger sightings, revitalization of the region’s biodiversity, and global recognition for community-led conservation.
Record-Breaking Temple Construction — Preserving Culture and Faith
From 2019 to 2024, Surya Singh facilitated the construction of over 250 temples across the Hussainabad political constituency using Shri Kamlesh Kumar Singh’s MLA development fund.
This effort not only strengthened the region’s spiritual identity but also empowered local artisans, created employment, and became a symbol of cultural renaissance.

Surya Singh firmly believes in the spirit of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas”. While proudly embracing his Hindu heritage, he has also emerged as a champion of religious harmony in Hussainabad. Under this model, instead of top-down decision-making, MLA funds were allocated through direct public consultation. Villagers participated in open meetings to prioritize their developmental needs — an approach that redefined transparency and accountability. The model garnered attention and was even emulated by other constituencies across the state.
We Serve..
Health
We will launch monthly mobile health camps in every ward to provide free checkups, medicines, and specialist consultations. A 24×7 ambulance service will be available for emergencies. We’ll expand affordable health insurance coverage to include all low-income families.
Employment
We will partner with local businesses and industries to create new jobs over the next two years. Vocational training centers will offer free skill-building courses in trades like carpentry, plumbing, and computer programming. Small-business grants and startup incubators will support young entrepreneurs.
Education
Every government school will be upgraded with digital classrooms, smart boards, and high-speed internet within the next year. We’ll provide full scholarships to meritorious students from underprivileged backgrounds. Teacher-training programs will ensure quality education and modern teaching methods in every classroom.
Infrastructure
We will repair and widen all roads and ensure each village has all-season connectivity within 18 months. Clean drinking water pipelines will be installed in every household, and an uninterrupted electricity supply will be our top priority. High-speed broadband will be extended to rural areas, enabling better access to information and online services.
